Wenzhou Union International School (WUIS), co-founded by the Wenzhou-Kean University Education Development Foundation and Likeda Holdings Co., Ltd., was approved by the Zhejiang Provincial Department of Education in July 2021 and registered with the Provincial Department of Civil Affairs the following month. The WUIS high school division was officially approved on 29 June 2026. As the only school in Wenzhou offering a full English curriculum at both primary and secondary levels, WUIS aims to provide quality international education for the children of expatriates, overseas Chinese, and residents of Hong Kong, Macau, and Taiwan.

WUIS is the first IB World School in Wenzhou—and indeed in southern Zhejiang—to offer the Primary Years Programme (PYP), and it is also a candidate school for the Middle Years Programme (MYP). We are proud to be a pioneer in bringing the IB educational philosophy to this region. Our diverse community of students and teachers places international‑mindedness at the heart of our culture. Our mission is to cultivate inquisitive, compassionate, and resilient learners, and we are setting a new benchmark for international education in the region. We warmly invite international families to join us on this exciting journey of growth and discovery.
